Diwali water rangoli art for kids

It feels so nice to involve our kids in the Diwali preparations. But involving a toddler is definitely a big task but I found out this very simple and beautiful Diwali art for kids. My toddler did enjoy each step of the making. It included, pouring of water, sensory, transferring rangoli using spoon. So overall it was fun, engaging and learning experience for my toddler.

Now lets have a look at the procedure :-

Materials needed:
- A steel plate
- Oil (coconut oil or vegetable cooking oil)
- Rangoli colors
- paper
- Scissor
- Water

Method:
1. First of all, we need a stencil. Take a paper and draw the required shape (Here, I made Diya). Cut the middle part and the stencil is ready.
2. Now place the the steel plate on the table.
3. Apply oil on the plate properly and place the stencil over it.
4. Now sprinkle rangoli over the stencil.

5. Remove the stencil carefully and remove the excess rangoli from the place.
6. Clean the edges of the plate with cloth or tissue paper.
7. Now Slowly go on adding water till rangoli gets completely immersed into it.

Its very surprising to see how the rangoli stays intact and the result looks so beautiful. My toddler wanted to go further and play with water and rangoli and mixed everything up. But at the end, we had a great time and that is what matters to me as a mom.. :)
